1962

Sugnaux was founded in 1962 by Michel Sugnaux, currently chairman of the board.

1962 to 1983

Workshop for general electro mechanics, car repair, electrical components, carburettors and brakes.
Manufacture of cheese-curing machines.

1965

Development of the first curing machine for raclette cheese (type MTF6).

1966

First manual machine for curing Gruyère cheese (type G4).

1968

First semi-automatic machine for curing Gruyère cheese (type G10).

1980

Semi-automatic cheese-curing machine type G11 for Gruyères cheese curing with integrated elevator.

1982

First curing robot for Gruyères cheese developed for
Fromage Gruyère SA in Bulle (CH).

Dès 1984

Machine manufacturing for cheese dairies and for the food industry.

1986

Export of the first robot to France (Fromageries Reybier, now Entemont Juragruyère SAS).

1988

Marc Sugnaux, Michel's son, joins the company.

1990

Alain Sugnaux, Michel's son, joins the company.

1994

New corporate name Sugnaux Electromécanique SA (plc).

1996

New manipulator for curing, palletising and traying in of Gruyère and Comtés chesses.

1999

Autonomous hydraulic lifting table type T20 driving on batteries, stroke 1.70 m.

2002

Cheese curing robot type G29.

2003

Cheese curing robot type G35.

2004

First automatic palletising and traying in robot developed for the Fromageries Marcel Petite SAS and Fromageries Arnaud (F).
Cheese board washing machine type MP5.

2005

Autonomous hydraulic lifting table type T22 driving on batteries, stroke 3.70 m.

Automatic derinder type D38 for Gruyères cheese.
